Overview
The Dji Mini 2 in Kenya quadcopter drone is a beginner-level drone that is the successor of the DJI Mavic Mini which was released in 2019. The two are almost identical in design with some upgrades on the Mini 2. These include the possibility of shooting 4K videos at 30p/25p/24p, a boosted 100Mbps video bit-rate, and the inclusion of Ocusync 2.0 transmission that will expand the flying range of the Mini 2 compared to the Mavic Mini. However, this drone has excluded the 2.7K/60p shooting capability as well as the ‘Follow Me’ mode.
Other features on the Mini 2 are the inclusion of slightly more powerful motors and the ability to shoot raw photos. The powerful motors give the drone slightly faster acceleration (5m/s, up from 4m/s) and a higher top speed, while also allowing it to withstand stronger winds of up to 24mph. Being able to shoot raw photos gives you more room for editing. However, this flexibility has not been extended to the drone’s video which can only be shot in MP4 (with H.264 or MPEG-4 AVC codecs).
The Mini 2 comes with a newly upgraded controller. Also, you do not need to directly connect your iOS or Android phone to share your Mini 2 videos and snaps as the Fly App has had improvements to make it easier to do so. Once your mobile is connected to the drone, you can download images at 20mb/s. Required smartphone operating system for smooth integration: iOS v10.0 or later, Android v6.0 or later.

Ocusync 2.0 transmission
This refers to the way the drone and controller communicate. Ocusync 2.0 transmission system provides for improved drone flying range, meaning that the Dji Mini 2 in Kenya is able to fly using a reliable HD video feed from up to 6km away (in Europe) or 10km in FCC-compliant countries like the US and Australia. However, the distances can be shorter in places with competing signals
