The Z CAM E2-M4 4K Camera is a professional cinema camera with a Micro Four Thirds lens mount and has the ability of recording 12-bit ProRes RAW over HDMI using select Atomos recorder/monitors. You can record DCI and UHD 4K video quality at up to 160fps and HD quality at up to 240 fps. Z CAM E2-M4 has a 4/3″ sensor with 10/12-bit color support and nominal 13 stops of dynamic range with 16 stops when set to WDR. The ISO range is 500-2500 in native mode, 500 to 102,400 manual range and 250-1250 while WDR is activated. Additionally, this camera supports H.264 and H.265 codes to allow for compression of images. With firmware update 0.98.0, Z CAM E2-M4 supports ProRes 422 in all resolution and frame rate combinations and offers proxy recording in separate files. Media recording is to a CFast 2.0 card (not provided, bought separately).
You can control, review an image or configure this camera via the Z Camera iOS app. You can also control it using the following ports: a USB Type-C port, a 2.5mm LANC connector, or via an Ethernet port. It can live stream via its Gigabit Ethernet port, as well as record time-lapse and slow motion. Power the E2-M4 camera from a separately available L-series battery or AC adapter.
Note: A future update on this camera will allow it to support RTMP, RTPS, and SRT live streaming directly from the camera without the need for a computer.
